As A Deicer

Dowflake Calcium Chloride melts faster than any other product. It actually undercuts snow and ice about 3 ¹/₂ times faster than rock salt.

It works at lower temperatures. It can melt down to -25^o Fahrenheit.

Dowflake Calcium Chloride lasts longer and melts up to two to three times more snow and ice than other products.

It generates heat upon contact with snow and ice and speeds up the melting process.

For Concrete Acceleration

By adding Dowflake Calcium Chloride to concrete mixtures you can improve set times by up to 2/3. It can increase the setting rate for virtually any cement.

It provides high early strength so finishing work can begin sooner and be completed earlier.

In cold weather, high early strength protects concrete from potential freeze damage while reducing heating and concrete protection costs.

Dowflake Calcium Chloride reduces water requirements which reduces bleeding and improves workability. It can also increase production rates for specialty products.

For Dust Control

Dowflake Calcium Chloride attracts moisture and resists evaporation for long periods of time, even on hot, dry days. This helps keep dust down by keeping surfaces damp.

When the dust stays down, large aggregates stay in place keeping roads smoother, longer with fewer ruts and less washboarding.

Dowflake Calcium Chloride improves safety because with the dust down visibility increases creating a safer driving environment.

Less aggregate replacement and fewer bladings needed reduces material, labor, fuel and equipment maintenance costs.

For Tire Weighting

By weighting a pneumatic tractor tire with Dowflake Calcium Chloride the extra weight goes right where it should be, on the driving wheels. It can increase drawbar pull by 80%.

Using Dowflake Calcium Chloride as ballast also allows the tread to grip the earth more firmly reducing slippage and friction which causes the most tire wear.

With the smoother pull you get there's less bouncing up and down and therefore less wear on your tractor.

It also provides a low center of gravity creating greater stability.
